I’ve updated the site to the latest release of WordPress. 2.8.1 fixes many bug found in 2.8 and I finally was ready for the update. While everything went smoothly, I did have to update my theme a bit to run some of the additional widget area.
Using the old style dynamic_sidebar( ‘Utility: Header’ ); didn’t work [...]

Well, aside from waiting all day for WordPress 2.8 to be released into the wild (public). I left the comfort of my home to get some dinner only to get a message that 2.8 was out.

As the WordPress community grows, so does the amount of available themes. Galleria is a gallery-style child theme for WordPress built on the Hybird theme framework. Originally, this theme was created by Chirs Wallace for the Thematic theme framework and released at Smashing Magazine.

Doing theme modification and even custom template files has brought me to this point. Today I’ve created my first premium theme, and since I am a huge fan of Hybrid, I decided that a child theme would be an appropriate starting point.

I’ve had some time the last few days while my XPS computer has been having difficulties and the Dell replacement parts didn’t fix, what I know now to be a faulty LCD screen.
So I’ve made a few updates and changes to my WordCult theme. The new version is: 0.3.
